Executive Director David Seltz provides an update on upcoming work at the HPC
|
We had an extremely successfull fall at the Health Policy Commission, including eight public meetings, the release of three publications, and the HPC's Annual Health Care Cost Trends Hearings. As we move into winter, we are excited to continue our work to ensure a more efficient and effective Massachusetts health care system.
This winter, the HPC will release the 2016 Cost Trends Report. We expect that preliminary findings will be presented at the newly scheduled January 11, 2017 Board Meeting. In addition to this work, the HPC is finalizing contracts with awardees for the Health Care Innovation Investment Program; projects are expected to launch over the next two months.
I wanted to highlight a few schedule changes over the next few weeks. Tomorrows QIPP and CHICI meetings
have been cancelled. Instead, we will just hold a meeting of the Cost Trends and Market Performance Committee at 10:30AM
to discuss key policy considerations for the Performance Improvement Plan process.
Additionally, the December 14 Board Meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 9:30 AM.
Thank you for your continued engagement in our work.
Happy Holidays!
Regards,
David Seltz
Executive Director
