Celebrate the 2023–24 School Year with Exciting HSE Updates! |
Dear valued members of our Health Science Education division,
As we prepare for the beginning of the 23-24 school year, I sincerely hope you had a fantastic summer filled with well-deserved rest and relaxation. Time flies, and it's almost time for the new academic year to kick off, while some of you have already begun!
Thank you for being an essential part of our division. I am here to serve and support you. If you ever need any assistance, do not hesitate to reach out. We are always on the lookout for leaders in the division to contribute to our strategic plan. Remember, you have the power to shape your direction, just like Dr. Seuss said, "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose."
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the incredible work you all do in inspiring our future healthcare professionals every day. Keep up the exceptional effort!

With heartfelt gratitude,
Holly Strand-Rysgaard

Valued Partnership with HOSA
We are proud to announce our continued partnership with our CTSO, HOSA. During the HOSA Inc annual board meeting, I accepted a plaque of recognition on behalf of the ACTE Health Science Education division. This plaque now holds a place of honor in the ACTE office in Alexandria, Virginia. Stay tuned for exclusive opportunities planned in collaboration with HOSA throughout this school year. Make sure you are on the lookout for an invite to the HOSA/HSE luncheon that will be at the ACTE Career Tech Vision Conference. ACTE members will have the opportunity to be an early RSVP for that event! This event was HUGE in Las Vegas so we’ve strategically made changes in order to accommodate all that want to attend. Note: You will need to be registered for the event this year so make sure you ask if you have any questions and are watching for your invite!

Calling for Your Assistance
This year at VISION, we're introducing a unique opportunity for you to complete some of your medical licensure credits during a dedicated session. We understand that license renewals often sneak up on us, and we are distinct from many educators as most, if not all, of us maintain our teaching and medical credentials. To make this session more valuable, we need your help! Please take a moment to fill out this short survey, which will help us compile a list of FREE resources for obtaining CEUs based on your specific medical license.
