ZOOM PRESENTATION

On Friday October 9, 2026 Dr. Jason Stull, VMD, MPVM, PhD, DACVPM from University of Prince Edward Island will be doing a live presentation on the results of his findings from our 2025 Comprehensive Health Survey.

This epidemiological survey was done to better understand the current health, management and care of our breed and help drive our future grant funding and educational opportunities.

More than 1,100 respondents provided information on over 2,000 individual Cavaliers, making this one of the largest North American surveys of the breed to date. This survey utilized information from both breeders and pet owners, not only to gather a wide sampling of dogs but to also identify areas in which further education may be needed. While many of the findings may seem 'common knowledge', it is the raw data gathered in this survey that we will be able to refer to as tangible evidence to combat Animal Rights propaganda about the overall health of our breed.

This was a joint project between the ACKCS Charitable Trust & CKCSC, USA Health Committees. Thank You to our dedicated joint committee members Bettina Sterling, Leslie Slusher, Anne Eckersley, Pat Mixon and Liz Greak for their commitment throughout the development, organization and implementation of this survey. We appreciate our “Think Tank” participants for their contributions during our early stages, giving insight from their varied professional backgrounds and expertise: John Ioia, Stephanie Sterling, Kathy Yonkers, Stephanie Abraham, Breda McCarty, Carolyn Peterson, Michelle True, Lacey Rosenberg, Jennifer Bennett, and Trudy Owens, This project was very intensive and we could not have been successful without their suggestions and input.

Thank you to everyone who has already signed up to participate in Dr. Olby's Comprehensive Aging Study. She has over 100 dogs already. Right now her team is starting evaluations with the oldest applicants and working her way down.

We ask if you do not have a dog eligible for the study that you consider making a donation to help support Dr. Olby's research. Thank You!
