Returning from Thanksgiving:
Health and Safety Updates
Dear Salisbury Academy Families,

I hope that you are enjoying a restful Thanksgiving break. As we prepare for our next two weeks of in-person learning, there are several important reminders for our school community listed below.

Additionally, if you or a family member have developed symptoms or had exposure during the break, please contact me, Mrs. Fowler, or reach our medical team at [email protected].

Exposure to COVID-19
Recommended Precautions for the Public

  • Stay home until 14 days after last exposure and maintain social distance (at least 6 feet) from others at all times
  • Self-monitor for symptoms
  • Check temperature twice a day
  • Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19
  • Avoid contact with people at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19
  • Follow CDC guidance if symptoms develop

COVID-19 Travel Protocol:

Salisbury Academy requires any student or employee who travels via mass transit – i.e. a plane, train, or bus – to quarantine and not be present on campus for a minimum of five (5) calendar days from completion of such travel. Please refer to the CDC travel guidance and the CDC guidance regarding protecting yourself when using transportation for additional information and find this information highlighted in the updated version of the SA COVID-19 Handbook.
Symptom Monitoring:

Families are asked to closely monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and take action as outlined in the Symptom Presentation Chart below.
We look forward to returning to campus on Monday and enjoying engaging, in-person learning while keeping our school community safe. Our success to date has been in large part in thanks to your support and partnership. Thank you for your continued commitment as we navigate the increasing presence of the virus in our area in the weeks ahead.

In Partnership,
