Asian & Pacific Islander Health Care Enrollment Event - West County
Assistance signing up for health care through Covered California
Translation available in numerous languages
Open enrollment for the
Affordable Care Act (ACA) starts on November 15, which means a window of time when you can sign up for health care for you and your family. Covered California runs the ACA program in our state.

This is also the time you can change plans, if you desire.

Learning how to navigate health coverage options is confusing! More so if English isn't your first language.

Help is here! I'm pleased be part of a collaborative effort sponsoring a Health Enrollment Event this weekend at the Richmond Auditorium, that's especially targeting Asians and Pacific Islanders. Translation will be available in 17 Asian languages (see list below), as well as in Spanish. Everyone who needs help is welcome!

Get help understanding your health care choices and options, and completing and submitting forms. Learn if you're eligible for Medi-Cal or MediCare.  Details below:

Saturday's event is the first one in California (and possibly the nation) to focus on such a diversity of Asian and Pacific Islander languages. The American Public Health Association has identified Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders as vulnerable populations that require additional culturally-appropriate efforts in accessing the Affordable Care Act.
