County health director to address Covid-19 Monday
The Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its third Monday luncheons in a modified form beginning at noon Monday, July 20.

“We have missed being able to see our members and friends and helping them stay up-to-date on what is going on around the community,” Chamber Board President Diana Phillips said. “We see a Zoom meeting, where people can join via their phones or computers as the next best thing to doing it in person.”

Monday’s program will feature Derrick L. Neal, MPA, who is the Executive Director of the Williamson County and Cities Health District. In conjunction with the Williamson County Board of Health, he leads the county’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and all other WCCHD programs.

The “meeting” will be held over Zoom. To get information on how to join in, email info@taylorchamber.org or call 512-352-6364.

The Chamber’s Programs and Services Committee is planning these informative meetings on at noon on the third Monday of the month. Upcoming programs are expected to include information from Taylor Independent School District, a look at the area’s real estate market and a heads up on what to watch in the 2021 legislative session.

Businesses are welcome to sponsor these programs. A $100 sponsorship helps the Chamber continue its work during this crisis. The sponsor will receive recognition in all promotions of the luncheon and two minutes to address attendees during the opening of the meeting.
