Updated COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines for the Fall/Winter | | |
|
The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older receive the updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of previous vaccination history. This recommendation aims to protect against potentially serious outcomes during the fall and winter seasons. Moderna, Novavax, and Pfizer will provide updated vaccines for the upcoming season.
The CDC also recommends the 2024-2025 flu vaccine for the same group, with rare exceptions, to reduce influenza risks and complications. Healthcare providers are encouraged to begin planning their vaccination efforts now. Please contact the IPRO team for support with planning and implementation of your vaccine campaign.
