November 2024 Steering Committee Newsletter

Thank you to everyone who attended our October 2024 Healthy RC Steering Committee Meeting! We were grateful to have our guest presenter, Jaime Roberts (LMFT and founder of Equilibrium Counseling Services), who shared an insightful presentation on "Teen Self-Harm and Suicide: Recognizing Signs, Symptoms, and Effective Interventions."

Click here to view the presentation and learn about the underlying causes and thought patterns associated with self-harm (SH) and suicidal ideation (SI). Understanding why these thoughts occur can guide us in identifying supportive strategies to reduce distress and likelihood of escalation. Through harm reduction techniques, attendees gained knowledge on fostering emotion regulation, engaging in open conversations, and reducing destructive behaviors.

We truly appreciate your ongoing support, time, and energy as we work together on impactful projects, programs, and initiatives that make Rancho Cucamonga the healthiest it can be!
