Green Shirt Day 
April 7th, 2022 is Green Shirt Day for Organ Donor Awareness and Registration. The day was created in honour of Humboldt Broncos defenseman Logan Boulet, whose organ donation helped save lives and inspired Canadians across the country to join him and register as donors. Keep his legacy alive and spread awareness about organ donation by wearing a green shirt on April 7th. Find out more.

Wellness Journal for Students by Students  
At École Phoenix Middle School in Campbell River, B.C., students created a journal to help their peers work through their thoughts and feelings about COVID, depression, anxiety, and more. A counsellor at the school came up with the idea as a way to start breaking down the stigma around mental health and counselling. The book includes a diverse sample of activities that were selected by students for students to support mental health. Find out more.

Guide to Ride
Guide to Ride is a free classroom resource from Physical and Health Education (PHE) Canada to promote safe cycling in grades 4-6. There are ten lesson plans for each grade designed for educators to use regardless of whether students have access to bicycles. Guide to Ride aims to help students develop an appreciation of the health, ecological and environmental benefits of cycling. Find out more. 


ACHWM App
Aaniish Naa Gegii: the Children’s Health and Well-being Measure (ACHWM) is a culturally relevant measure of health and well-being for Indigenous children (ages 8-18 years). ACHWM offers a tablet-based survey for Indigenous communities and organizations to get a clearer picture of the health and well-being of their children. Data obtained from the survey can be used for many purposes including identifying areas where more services are needed and supporting advocacy for program funding. Find out more.

The Annual Parent Education Conference is Back
The BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils’ annual Parent Education Conference is back in-person on April 29th, 2022, at the Westin Wall Centre Hotel in Richmond, B.C. The theme for this year’s conference is Making Connections, Moving Forward. Many presentations will speak to services and programs that support the health and well-being of B.C. children and youth. Early bird pricing is available until April 7th, 2022. Find out more.
