Greetings Church,

I know that you’re following news reports and tuning into the Governor’s updates, and I expect that you have questions about church as state and local officials move closer to opening things back up in Kentucky.

Though the Governor has stated that houses of worship could potentially re-open on May 20, that is contingent on adherence to guidelines for social distancing protocols, increased health and safety measures, and expanded cleaning and sanitation protocols.

We are currently working on phased plans for how we will be healthy at church and follow state and federal guidelines. We do not plan to re-open on May 20th.

Because we are a large church with multiple services and many ministries, we’re looking ahead with a prayerful, thoughtful, and measured approach as we develop plans to re-open. We have recently formed a Healthy at Church Advisory Team and enlisted the help of doctors, nurses, and those best prepared to guide us as we move forward together.

Healthy at Church Advisory Team members are:
Pam Hagan - Team Leader
Lynn Harrelson
Richard Ivey
Kelli Miller
Holly Morris
Steve Richards
At this point, it is premature to establish dates for re-entry, worship, small groups, etc. We have also concluded that we are unable to offer in-person events, camps, or mission trips for children and youth this summer.

In the meantime, we are focusing on ways to sustain and improve our online worship platforms and are committed to continuing an online worship experience when in-person worship resumes.

Our goal is not to race to the finish line, but to navigate this well and return when it makes sense for our faith community to meet again in person. We will continue our online worship presence and other virtual activities with a level of excellence. We will provide regular updates as we move forward and do our best to keep you engaged and informed along the way.

Please know that our team loves you, is praying for you, and hopes that you are staying safe and healthy at home!

Many Blessings,

Dolly Mills
