The United Way of Charlotte County
Mission:
Leading the united effort to eliminate poverty
by investing in our community.

What's happenin g and how our #gamechangers are leading the way
We're in the homestretch & need your help to reach our campaign goal!
Six months ago we kicked off our annual campaign. Thank you to everyone who has helped us raise over $900,000.00 so far. We are happy to announce that with two weeks left in our campaign we are very close but need your help to achieve our goal.

#GAMECHANGERS became our theme because of our unique nonprofit partner agency collaborations and our core mission is to eliminate poverty with the help of these agencies.

Our work is not done. Many of our neighbors, co-workers and friends live in a never-ending cycle of constant worry. We are still shy 9% of our goal. You can help us strike out poverty in Charlotte County. Together we win. Be a #gamechanger today CLICK HERE

The Community Impact process was conducted during the month of February. Participation on our Community Impact Panel is one of the most important actions volunteers provide, as it's essential to the United Way's ability to support vital human service needs in Charlotte County. This panel vets and recommends funding for local non-profits serving Charlotte County in the areas of education, financial stability, and health. 12 days - 27 agency and collaborative panels - 118 volunteers - countless hours of commitment and investment!! Thank you to our amazing nonprofit partners in Charlotte County doing #gamechanging work and to our volunteers for your time and caring so deeply about this process!!
United Way Ambassador Judi Beaumont
SPOTLIGHT
Let's get to know our own United Way Ambassador, Judi Beaumont.  She practiced law for a number of years before working as an Estate & Trust Administrator for private banks.   Professionally, she always supported United Way.  She is committed to what what we do and how we do it.  When she decided to take a year off work, her goal was to take a Master Gardening class, volunteer and adopt a dog.  Judi and her husband, John Palkovic of the Farr Law Firm, live in Punta Gorda and recently added a wonderful 12 year old mix breed, rescue dog named Maggie to their family.  Way to go Judi!
