Hear from the Wichita Community Foundation on Their Recent Efforts to Assist Wichita Non-Profits & Individuals
Does your nonprofit need funding assistance for programs related to containing or stopping the spread of COVID-19?
Do you know individuals who need help with paying their utility bills as a result of job loss due to the current situation?

Angie Elliott with the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce interviewed Shelly Dicken Prichard and James Woods from the Wichita Community Foundation (WCF) to help our community learn more about two special programs that the Foundation has available to assist individuals and nonprofits who have been impacted by COVID-19.

More information about the STAND WITH WICHITA program for individuals and the EMERGENCY FUND for nonprofits can be found on their website.

The Wichita Community Foundation is also accepting financial donations from individuals and companies who are interested in assisting the community. You'll find the donation link here .

Prichard encouraged people who need utility bill assistance to contact the Salvation Army directly at 316-263-2769 extension 148.
United Way 211 is another great resource for those in need.
Good Deeds in Hard Times
Have you spotted colorful and inspirational messages of hope on area billboards? Sam and Elizabeth Farha, owners of   Midwest Billboards ,  have donated billboard space to promote positive messages from Instagram that are tagged #wegotthischallenge2020. Watch for their 16 billboards spread across Wichita, Andover and Maize. The challenge account and hashtag on Instagram was started by a Wichita resident who lives in College Hill and Elizabeth Farha says people from Dallas, London and New York have participated in the movement. Elizabeth and Sam are also offering discounted billboard rates for local businesses during April to assist them with their messaging.
