Call Congress and Urge Them to
Finally Secure the Southern Border
President Donald J. Trump
Last night, President Donald Trump addressed the nation on the southern border crisis. Click here to watch the speech or here to read the transcript. The President urged, "To every member of Congress: Pass a bill that ends this crisis. To every citizen: Call Congress and tell them to finally, after all of these decades, secure our border." The time to act is now, please consider calling your representative and senators. Here is a FAQ document and fact sheet on the crisis.

Act to Stop the Re-Nomination of Chai Feldblum
Chai Feldblum, Commissioner of the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
On December 31, Chai Feldblum's term expired with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The White House could re-nominate her to the EEOC as one of the commission's slots chosen by Senate Democrats; however, for religious liberty, President Donald Trump should not do so.

Here is a Family Research Council (FRC) press release explaining why Commissioner Feldblum should not continue to serve on the EEOC. Plus, FRC President Tony Perkins was recently on Fox News with Shannon Bream discussing this issue.

Please email Paul Teller, Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs, to express your thoughts on Commissioner Feldblum's re-nomination.

A Judicial Watch Election Integrity Victory
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton
According to a Judicial Watch press release, on January 3, Judicial Watch signed a settlement agreement with the State of California and County of Los Angeles to begin the process of removing as many as 1.5 million inactive registered names from their voter registration rolls. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said, "This settlement vindicates Judicial Watch's groundbreaking lawsuits to clean up state voter rolls to help ensure cleaner elections." Judicial Nominations Update
Last month, during Senator Chuck Grassley's (R-IA) floor statement on the achievements of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he noted "The U.S. Senate confirmed a historic number of lifetime appointments to the federal bench this Congress. That includes 53 district court judges; 30 circuit court judges and two Supreme Court justices. Eighty-five federal judgeships in the last two years alone. This reflects an all-time record for the first two years of any presidency."

A Bloomberg Law article, 2019 Outlook: Trump Judge Picks Could Flip Circuit Courts Red, analyzes the impact of the Senate Judiciary Committee's effort. As the picture indicates above, the Second, Third, Fourth and Eleventh Circuits could all soon have a majority of Republican appointees. Even the Ninth Circuit, which has hindered President Trump's orders on immigration and environmental policies, is within striking distance of flipping its seats to a majority of Republican appointees.
