hearingHearing for Judge Gorsuch Set for This Month
Judge Neil M. Gorsuch
The Senate Judiciary Committee announced that the hearing on Judge Neil M. Gorsuch's nomination to the Supreme Court will begin on March 20. Judge Gorsuch was nominated by President Trump on January 31 to fill the seat of the late Justice Antonin Scalia. The hearing is expected to be highly contested. Democrats are angry at Republicans for refusing to allow President Barack Obama to fill the seat when it became vacant last February. They feel the Republicans stole the court seat. Republicans need 60 votes to avoid a possible filibuster and confirm Judge Gorsuch. They hold a 52-seat majority in the Senate, so they will need some Democrats to vote for Judge Gorsuch.

Want to show your support for Judge Gorsuch and help him get confirmed? Here are some ways:
jwJudicial Watch Sues CIA, DOJ and Treasury

On March 6, Judicial Watch issued a press release entitled Judicial Watch Sues CIA, DOJ and Treasury for Records Related to Intelligence Leaks Regarding Investigation of General Flynn. Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the agencies failed to respond to a January 25 Freedom of Information Act request. CNP Action, Inc. Board Member and CNP Gold Circle Member Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, is quoted in the press release as saying "President Trump is on to something. The Obama-connected wiretapping and illegal leaks of classified material concerning President Trump and General Flynn are a scandal. Judicial Watch aims to get to the truth about these crimes and we hope the Trump administration stands with us in the fight for transparency."
