Paint a Scarf to Help Vets on April 21st
"Arizona’s newest art experience is teaming up with a local non-profit to raise money for veterans Saturday, April 21. The Ripple Effect is sponsoring a scarf painting fundraiser at Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale. Participants will paint a silk scarf, with a portion of the proceeds helping veterans re-enter civilian life.

Scarf painting is like canvas painting – but faster, easier and “useful-er.” Each painter goes home with a luxurious silk scarf – absolutely no art skill or experience is required.
While the scarves dry, Gold Star mother Wendy Shackley and others will share in a round table discussion what it takes to understand Suicide and the Veteran reintegration process.
Painters will enjoy snacks and drinks on the cool, covered Estrella Hall North Plaza.
Paint A Scarf provides mobile scarf painting parties all over the valley of the sun. Gina Murrow invented a patented upright painting method that makes scarf painting easy for anyone. The fundraiser for The Ripple Effect is one of the first opportunities for Phoenicians to experience this fun, easy technique of silk painting ."
