Indoor Worship Every Sunday at 10am and
Online at 8:30am
We have resumed indoor worship services every Sunday at 10am! Masks are recommended while indoors for those who have not received the Covid-19 vaccination.

We have tables in the Sanctuary where families can sit together during the worship service. Coloring pages and crayons are available and you are welcome to bring a snack and drink as well!

If you can't join us in person, you can catch our online service time at 8:30am. We hope you can watch the livestream with us before your day gets busy or as always, you can watch the archived service anytime that is convenient for you beginning Sunday afternoon.
Sunday Morning Nursery Care
We are excited to again offer nursery care during Sunday worship time, beginning this Sunday. You can register your child online, newborn up to age 3, to reserve your spot if you plan to drop off at the nursery care room. Space is limited, and not guaranteed.

At this time, masks are recommended for adults when in the childcare end of the building, when indoors and around other children. We look forward to welcoming back the youngest members of our church family. Please email Jill Wiggins with any further questions.

Volunteers are essential, and needed to continue to grow our children's ministry programs. Email Jill Wiggins to find out more about these opportunities.

Weekly Scripture Focus
The Sermon on the Mount
Jesus came down from the mountain with them and stood on a large area of level ground. A great company of his disciples and a huge crowd of people from all around Judea and Jerusalem and the area around Tyre and Sidon joined him there. They came to hear him and to be healed from their diseases, and those bothered by unclean spirits were healed. The whole crowd wanted to touch him, because power was going out from him and he was healing everyone. Jesus raised his eyes to his disciples and said:

“Happy are you who are poor, because God’s kingdom is yours.
Happy are you who hunger now, because you will be satisfied.
Happy are you who weep now, because you will laugh.
Happy are you when people hate you, reject you, insult you, and
condemn your name as evil because of the Human One.
Rejoice when that happens! Leap for joy because you have a great reward in
heaven. Their ancestors did the same things to the prophets.

Luke 6:17-26
A Reflection:

Today’s bible story is known as the Sermon on the Mount, when Jesus tells his disciples about the Beatitudes. The teaching is about blessings. To be blessed is to be more than happy. Life doesn't always go our way, sometimes we get sick or someone gets hurt and of course this doesn't make us happy but being blessed is being full of joy on the inside even if things aren't perfect. It's a deeper joy because we know, as believers, that the spirit of God lives in us and we will live with God in heaven someday.

God promises that we will be blessed if we follow these teachings but it won't be easy. We all are still figuring out how to do these things. Don't be discouraged. God calls us to be different than the rest of the world. Keep in mind that the beatitudes are impossible to do without God's help. God wants to help and be a big part of decisions you make and all that you do.

Jesus didn't give us these beatitudes and then want us to fail. He wanted to give us something to aim for, to work on our whole life to try to achieve. He wants us to try our best and give us a life full of blessings and reward us even bigger in heaven someday.

  • What are some blessings that God has given you, that you are thankful for?
  • What are some obstacles that you overcame, and who helped you?

A Prayer:

Dear God, help us to have the happiness that you want for us. Happiness that comes, not from what happens to us, but from what happens inside of us. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
