Year of the Dog
We bid adieu to the Rooster ~ and prepare to welcome in the Year of the Dog. (Specifically - the Earth Dog.) Each year carries with it many of the overall characteristics of that year's animal. Dogs are profoundly loyal, faithful, protective, and cautious. They are reliable and trustworthy, earning them the moniker "Man's best friend."
Earth Dogs in particular are stubborn and don't give up. Even if stubborn, they respect the perspectives of others. Earth Dogs are tenacious, with the belief that as long as they work hard, they will make it. Dog has the energy of fair play and honoring commitments.
Astrology suggests that the Earth Dog year will be a time for honesty, fairness and the cultivation of integrity of character. It is a time of honesty and equality. The earth element this year brings healing, stability and a focus on nutrition.
Dogs are always eager to help others and are champions of the underdog. Earth Dogs instincts give them a clear sense of right and wrong in human relationships. Earth Dog is dedicated to justice, takes commitments seriously, is conscientious and caring. It sounds like a year which will bring some balance into our lives.
