The Great
50 Days:
“Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again!” Every time we celebrate Holy Communion, we remind ourselves of this good news. From now until May 24th we will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. In the church Easter is actually 50 days long! Jesus rose on Easter Sunday, but he appeared to his disciples for 40 days and then ascended into heaven. Then ten days later he sent the Holy Spirit to anoint the disciples at Pentecost. Make time to celebrate the new life that we have through the resurrection of Jesus, not just today, but every day!

NEXT SUNDAY WE CELEBRATE OUR MOTHERS AND EPWORTH! Most of the children served by Epworth will not be celebrating Mother’s Day with their birth mothers this year. Instead, they will be surrounded by loving staff or foster parents who walk with them daily to provide
spiritual, educational, emotional, and physical support. The Mother’s Day offering is our opportunity to partner with Epworth to improve the lives of the children and families they serve. For more information about Epworth, visit online at www.epworthsc.org.

LEGACY GIVING & ENDOWMENT SURVEY
One of Saint Mark’s four 2026 goals is to encourage and deepen planned giving among our disciples. As an important first step, the Endowment Committee has created a Congregational Survey to help shape this meaningful work.
We warmly invite individuals and households to take part in this CONFIDENTIAL and ANONYMOUS survey by clicking the link, scanning the QR code, or picking up a hard copy at the church and completing the survey. Your voice matters, and your thoughts will help guide us as we seek to grow in faithfulness together.
Please complete the survey at your earliest convenience, no later than May 31st and watch for future updates and opportunities from your Endowment Committee.
Bob Graves, Chair
Endowment Committee
“Let your Will and Endowment be your final act of Christian generosity.”

Have you lost or misplaced your church nametag? Here is how to order a new one…
Located in the Atrium and Narthex are small manila envelopes with an order form label on the front. Fill out your name(s) and select the type of nametag backing you prefer -- pin, *magnet, or clip. (*Note specifications for a magnet-style badge.) Place the appropriate payment in the envelope and give it to a greeter at the service you attend. The greeter will deliver to the church office for ordering.
The office will place the order(s) with Ralph’s Trophy Shop, pick them up when ready, and contact you when it has arrived and where to retrieve it. Please contact the
church office if you have any further questions.

PARLEZ-VOUS FRANÇAIS? SPRECHEN SIE DEUTSCHES? ¿HABLAS ESPAÑOL? On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and gave them the ability to speak in different languages.
On Pentecost Sunday, May 24th, we will reenact that event as we read about the day of Pentecost from Acts 2:1-11. We will do this by having different members of the congregation, who speak languages other than English, read aloud the Pentecost account while it is being read in English from the pulpit. Please contact Pastor Alex Stevenson and let him know what language you can read. If you do not have a copy of Acts 2:1-11 in that language, we should be able to obtain one for you.

Come see a wonderful cast including Saint Mark's
Kristine Montgomery (in two vastly different roles) in this whacky southern-fried comedy:
In the backwoods of the Bible Belt, the beleaguered Turpin family proves that living and dying in the South are seldom tidy and always hilarious. Despite their earnest efforts to pull themselves together for their father’s funeral, the Turpins’ other problems keep overshadowing the solemn occasion. Amidst the chaos, the Turpins turn for comfort to their friends and neighbors, an eccentric community of misfits who just manage to pull together and help each other through their hours of need, and finally, the funeral.
Show Rating: PG-13
