Vajra Dakini Nunnery

New Tara Shrine at Liberation House

The Tara Shrine is now open for the first time in Maine. This life sized White Tara bronze sculpture was made for Vajra Dakini by Prof. Maury Lowe (Khenmo's mentor in sculpture). The Tara is filled with rolled mantras and relics and was consecrated by HH Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche.

New Dharma Series, "The Heart Sutra" Starts this Sunday

The Sunday Dharma class will focus on a single text or practice method at length. Khenmo gives a Dharma talk followed by meditation or discussion each week. Students will be able to build an in depth understanding over time of key elements of Buddhism. Talks will be available on youtube afterwards.

This Sunday, Khenmo will begin teaching the Heart Sutra- the essential Mahayana Sutra recited by Sanghas all over the world. We will use the "Heart of Understanding" by Thich Nhat Hanh for reference. With this text, we can find the "big picture" and gain perspective for traversing our chaotic times.

Register here if you are new to Sunday Dharma.
