Luncheon Draws Record Crowd 
2015 Patron Luncheon

 

It's a new record! Thanks to the more than 940 business and community leaders who attended the 2015 Patron Luncheon on March 5. The annual event helps showcase Scouting to the Kansas City community and this year's luncheon raised a record setting $446,500 for local Scouting programs. 

 

Former senator and "Law & Order" star, Fred Thompson, served as guest speaker and shared the importance of the Scouting program in Kansas City to luncheon attendees.

Inaugural Dig Day

Saturday, May 9 - KC Parks    

We're teaming up with Kansas City Parks and Recreation to beautify the city for spring by planting more than 105 of the city's community flower beds.
 

Dig Day will kick-off at 9:00 am at the Eagle Scout Memorial Fountain on Saturday, May 9. Scouts assisting in planting flower beds will have the opportunity to take home a flower for Mother's Day which is on May 10.

Local Eagle Scouts Honored 
2014 David M. Lockton Eagle Scout Class


On Sunday, February 22, three generations of Eagle Scouts gathered to continue a Kansas City Scouting tradition. The 2014 David M. Lockton Eagle Scout Class Reception welcomed more than 1,200 Scouts and families to Municipal Music Hall. 

 

Those in attendance included more than 200 members of the 2014 Eagle Scout Class and members of the 1964 and 1989 Eagle Scout Classes who were celebrating their 50th and 25th anniversaries.

Webelos STEM Weekend 

April 25-26 - Bartle Scout Reservation 

STEM
Webelos STEM Weekend is back at Bartle April 25-26.  Participants will enjoy a specialized STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) themed  program along with traditional camp favorites like BB guns, archery, and slingshots.

Additional programming includes an introduction to the Boy Scout program at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation and a Saturday night campfire with a special presentation by the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
