Popcorn Sale Tops $2.1 Million
Final Product Pick-Up Now Underway
The 2014 popcorn sale is in the homestretch and we're happy to report that local Scouts have sold more than $2.1 million dollars worth of product during the 2014 sale. More than 70% of the proceeds will benefit Scouting programs right here in the Heart of America Council.
Final product pick-up is now underway. Contact your district popcorn kernel or executive with questions. And don't forget...Final payment is due Wednesday, December 10!

2015 NESA Scholarships
Applications Due December 31, 2014
In 2015, the National Eagle Scout Association will award more than 250 scholarships to Eagle Scouts ranging in size from $1,000 to $50,000 each.
Deadline for submissions is December 31, 2014.

Scout Day at the K returns on Sunday, April 19. Cheer on your 2014 American League Champion Kansas City Royals as they take on the Oakland Athletics during the first weekend homestand at the K.

Council Honors KCP&L
Company Recognized with Corporate Good Scout Award
 On October 22, more than 200 KCP&L employees, community leaders and Scouting volunteers made their way to the downtown Kansas City Marriott Muehlebach for the 2014 Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner.
This year's event recognized the employees of Kansas City Power & Light with the Corporate Good Scout Award, an award which highlights the company's efforts in positively influencing the young people in our communities.
