Danville's Baskin-Robbins has recently completed an extensive renovation, but with the lovely new facility, owner Lejla Starcevic says one thing has not changed: Baskin-Robbins' commitment to providing quality service to the community of Danville. "With a wide variety of menu options including premium ice cream, sorbets and frozen beverages," says Starcevic, "there is a tasty treat to delight every person."
Starcevic, originally from Bosnia, came to Danville 21 years ago, and bought the Danville Baskin-Robbins after working in the store for 10 years. Her favorite part of owning and working at Baskin-Robbins is the contact with customers, both new and regulars. "I love meeting new people all the time, and I love spending time chatting with my every day customers," she says.

Baskin-Robbins is the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, but in downtown Danville they still offer the great customer service that gives it a feel of a local mom and pop restaurant. The only difference is that this menu specializes in delicious frozen desserts, including their popular ice cream cakes which Starcevic can personalize with a message for special occasions.
Baskin-Robbins is known for having "31 Flavors," a marketing concept introduced by the company in the 1950s as a way to represent a different flavor for every day of the month. Since being founded by brothers-in-law Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins in the late 1940s, however, the ice cream chain has featured far more than 31 flavors - to date, the company has created more than 1,300 unique ice cream flavors. Pralines 'n' cream is one flavor the company claims to have invented and remains one of their top five best-selling flavors (along with vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate chip).
In addition to these classic beloved flavors, Baskin-Robbins provides an abundance of choices with rotating seasonal and specialty flavors. International locations offer flavors specific to each culture, including Red Bean and Green Tea flavors in Asia. Those of us in Danville, however, can stop in and try the featured flavor of the month, which is currently Reese's 3-Pointer - chocolate ice cream with Reese's Pieces and Reese's peanut butter cups. Cookie lovers can also try the new warm cookie sundae, with your choice of ice cream nestled between two warm, fresh cookies and the velvety hot topping of your choice, finished with whipped cream and cherries.
With such a variety of ice cream flavors that Baskin-Robbins offers, Starcevic and her co-workers believe that customers should be able to sample flavors until they find one they want to order, so samples are given to anyone who asks. As flavors constantly change with the seasons, there is always something new to try.
At Baskin-Robbins, Starcevic and her friendly staff are excited to serve you with a smile, whether you need a cake for a birthday celebration or simply an ice cream cone on a hot summer day. With so many options, they are also eager to provide their expert advice and help you find the perfect sweet treat. Stop in soon - they look forward to seeing you!
