HOJ Small Group for Young Adults 18+

Beginning Sunday, October 6

We are happy to announce a new small group this Fall for young adults experiencing disability, ages 18 and up. This small group, led by Tim and Susi Fickling, will meet in the Church Office Workroom during the 11:00 worship celebration each Sunday. The small group format will provide students with a chance to fellowship and share prayer requests, as well as review and discuss the morning’s sermon with the group leaders. If possible, we encourage students to attend the 8:00 or 9:30 worship celebration.

Mom-to-Mom

Friday, October 11

9:30-11:30 a.m.

Moms of young children (expectant-6th grade) are invited to join us on the second Friday of each month for encouragement from the Word, fellowship, and a potluck brunch. The next meeting will be Friday, October 11, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Discipleship Center.

While this is not specifically a Heart of Jesus event, it IS open to all moms and includes childcare for Infants-6th grade, allowing mamas to get an extra bit of respite. If you’re a mom and would like to participate, but need a buddy for your child, please reach out and let us know you’re planning to attend. Click the button below to RSVP!

HOJ Respite Event

Saturday, December 7

2:00-5:00 p.m.

We know the holiday season can be an especially busy time. This year, we’re hoping to make it a bit easier with a HOJ Respite Event on the afternoon of Saturday, December 7. Plan to drop off your kiddos (those with needs, as well as siblings under 13 years old) and enjoy a few hours to meet up with a friend, enjoy a meal out, or simply rest. Registration will open in early November. Mark your calendars now and watch for details! 

Limitless Disability Conference

Don’t forget about the upcoming Limitless Disability Conference, which will take place Saturday, October 5 at the The Well Community Church. Sponsored by Northpointe Community Church, this all-day conference will be filled with engaging speakers, useful resources, and specialized breakout sessions, with different tracks for parents, church servants, and teachers!

HOJ Family Fellowship Wrap-Up

We are praising the Lord that families and servants had a blast this past month at our first ever HOJ Family Fellowship! It was a special time after church, filled with water games, yummy treats, and, best of all, meaningful fellowship between parents and buddies. We’re sad that some families weren’t able to make it, but, rest assured, we will be holding similar events in the future!
