Connection is everything!

You can feel it - in the midst of enjoying a quiet morning or walking along a trail in the woods - that sense of completeness in being alone and communing with yourself and nature. But then sometimes there is that sense of something missing - that sweet connection with people in your greater circle of friends and acquaintances, of sharing life's everyday experiences. That yearning is what created concerts on balconies of quarantined neighbors in Italy, world-class performances on Zoom of singers and actors scattered around the globe, or even the drive-by birthday parties in your neighborhood for a young friend turning six. It is in our very nature to connect with other people and these times have certainly blossomed with creative ways to do just that!

We feel it at the studio or in the park every week as yoga buddies reconnect in person and share tales of their lives since March or regale us with stories of finding long lost friends on Facebook and Zoom. Being part of the MSY community creates a sense of belonging and acceptance, of being present in ourselves and with what is happening around us. As one of our students said about being back in the studio:  "the human to human interaction is very healing/calming."

I hope you feel that coming through in every video, park class and in-studio experience, and in these rambling thoughts each week - that you are an important member of our community and that love and support is there for you always.

Come practice with your own circle of friends and family at the studio!

Join one of our teachers by yourself or in groups of 2-4 people you know (your bubble) for personalized yoga practice at the studio! We all really need connection and peace in our lives right now, so come be comfortable in our very clean and beautiful Garden Studio to practice yoga, release stress, and create greater connection with people close to you. Choose a focus for your classes such as stress relief, strength and balance, specific poses, or simply enjoy an overall yoga practice.
Personalized classes are available on your schedule (coordinated with the studio) so it really works for you! Pricing is based on the number of people attending.

August marks the second month we are open for in-studio classes. Several students have returned and feel grateful to be back in the studio for practice. As soon as you are ready, please join us there so the studio can regain its sense of vibrant energy!

Don't see your usual class yet? We are offering a limited schedule to ensure that the classes are full - up to 6 students - before adding new classes. Vote with your presence in current classes so we know it's the right time to add more classes in the following weeks!
