Hounslow Council have extended the Innovate & Grow programme to July, and Branduin have been tasked to deliver 1-2-1 tender business advice sessions to local businesses based in the Borough of Hounslow. The Fit To Bid® programme will help you enhance your bidding skills and potentially win work on offer at Hounslow Council Procurement, as well as future opportunities at Heathrow Airport, Tier-1 & Tier-2 Suppliers, and HS2.

Are you re-opening your business, or planning to do so shortly?

If you're bringing back your employees part time, you can claim furlough flexibly for them under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS), part of the UK Government’s Plan for Jobs.


If you haven’t submitted your June furlough claims yet, you must do so by the deadline of Wednesday‌‌ ‌14‌‌ ‌July.


You can now also claim for pay periods in Ju‌‌ly.

Informed sourcing is vital to a business, the University of West London (UWL), Ealing W5 is offering part-time study to attain MCIPS from the Chartered Institute Procurement and Supply (CIPS). This is the current syllabus with computer-based exams.

The purchasing staff of your organisation would be very welcome to receive part-time tuition for CIPS Diplomas levels 4, 5 and 6 leading to MCIPS.

Each Diploma is a qualification in its own right and forms an excellent basis for management in business. For the next course, please apply by July 2021 for a September 2021 start, examinations will take place for the first module in November 2021.

Fees: Diplomas levels 4 and 5 are each £2,664 including exam fees. Diploma level 6 fee is £2,871. Achieve an MCIPS a Masters degree for £8,199.

The current Additional House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) and Selective Licensing schemes come to an end in June 2022, and the Council is consulting publicly about extending the licensing schemes for another five years.

 

The proposal in brief is to

  • continue to licence all HMOs in the borough under Additional HMO licensing in addition to Mandatory HMO licensing
  • introduce a new Selective Licensing scheme to cover 23 specific roads – any rented house or flat with an address in one of those roads will require a Selective Licence

 

The proposed Selective Licensing roads are below. Some are new and some are already in the current scheme.
