Don't forget to preheat your snow melt system.

In typical snowfall situations, a system using an automatic snow control with snow sensor(s) will turn ON automatically, once the snow sensor(s) detect snowfall. The heating system will remain ON until the end of the programmed heating cycle.

In the event of imminent, heavy snowfall, we recommend pre-heating your ramps and walkways MANUALLY, by turning the system ON BEFORE it starts to snow. This will allow the heating system to preheat the slab, giving it the best chance of staying ahead of the precipitation.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of how your snow melt system works to remove snow with automatic and manual control.
