Hebrew Words for the Week
January 6-7, 2012
אני יהוה רפאך
Pronunciation: Ani Adonai Rophecha
Meaning: I am the Lord your healer
Exodus 15:26
For I am the Lord your healer.
Psalm 107:20
He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Psalm 30:2
O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.
Rabbi David Levine's notes
The healing we pray for is based on God's nature - He is our healer. You can be confident of God's unfailing love and compassion as you pray for healing for other people.
Prayer Focus
We have begun Ten Days of Healing, asking the Lord to bring healing for those who are sick, diseased, or physically suffering. Let's pray that our faith in God's healing power will be strengthened as we pray for healing for others, as well as ourselves.
Prayer for our new synagogue
Please pray for us during the time we are in temporary quarters as we complete the build out of our new synagogue at Liberty Plaza, 8665-8669 Baypine Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
