Dear Heilicher Parents,
As we head into winter break, we wanted to give you a brief update on the Head of School (HOS) search process.
We are pleased to let you know that Heilicher has contracted with the firm Independent Thinking to guide the HOS search. We will be working specifically with Managing Director Jane Armstrong. Ms. Armstrong has been a principal at the firm for over 20 years, and has successfully led many searches for heads of school and other educational leadership roles. The firm has extensive experience working with Jewish day schools, and managed the search processes for school heads at JCDS (Boston’s Jewish Community Day School), Barrack Hebrew Academy in Philadelphia, and numerous Schechter Day Schools, among many other clients. We are excited about Independent Thinking’s deep knowledge of Jewish day schools in addition to the broader field of independent schools. We believe this combination of experience and expertise will be essential to our process.
We are currently forming the search committee, and will be providing opportunities for parents and other Heilicher community members to engage in listening sessions in January to provide input on the vision and search for our new Head of School. Please keep an eye out for detailed information very early in the new year.
