With sadness, we announce the death of member Helen Sussman, in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday, October 24, 2016, after a short illness. We send our sincere condolences to members Eden Nameri, her devoted daughter-in-law, and her grandchildren Jacob and Zohar, as well as to her son, Marc Nameri. Funeral will take place in Brooklyn, with burial in Long Island, on Thursday. There will be a shiva at her home in Brooklyn until Friday afternoon.
For more than a decade, Helen attended numerous Shir Libeynu High Holy Days' services and other holiday events whenever she visited her family in Toronto. We remember her warm and lively presence, her elegant sense of dress and her ability to engage with a myriad of congregants of all ages. She was always an enthusiastic dance participant during our services and parties, and joined in again at the age of 89 last year at her granddaughter's simcha in Ottawa.

We will truly miss Helen. May her memory be a blessing to all.
