SPIFE Alkaline Hemoglobin is based on the complex interactions of hemoglobin with an alkaline electrophoretic buffer in an agarose support media. Mobilities mimic classic cellulose acetate electrophoresis. Peltier-controlled cooling of the SPIFE Touch allows rapid separation of HbA, F, S and C and many other variants with minimal preparation time. Samples are auto stained by the SPIFE Touch using acid blue stain for excellent sensitivity and stability in storage.
