Registration for Sorrento Conference and Retreat Centre's
2024 Programs will open this
Friday, December 15 at 9:00 a.m.!
Take a look at the amazing offerings on December 15th, select your favourite, and register right away using our ONLINE REGISTRATION! Bring the family, let a friend know, tell the world!
We anticiapate that most, if not all, of these programs will fill up quickly.
Why, you might ask?
We have responded to our valued guests' suggestions and have done two things:
- Removed the program charge; and
- Created an all-inclusive program/activity category.
What this means is adults will pay $325, and this includes:
- A Program of your choice
- Welcome BBQ on Sunday evening (5-6:30pm)
- Daily Continental Breakfast
- Daily Snacks and other treats
- Farewell Banquet
- Yoga
- Numerous daily and evening activities
Our desire is to make our fees transparent, inclusive, and affordable. As with any inclusive resort, a guest is welcome to pick and choose what they'd like to participate in.
The five weeks of summer programming are meant to form intentional community events which strengthen, nourish, and refresh individuals and families.
Here are some highlights!

2024 Child & Youth Programming
|
|
Anticipation rises as we look forward to our 2024 summer programs for children and youth. Along with the return of the Under 5 Childcare Program for ages 3 and 4, as well as the Child Program for ages 5 to 10, we are excited about changes to our Youth Programming for ages 11 to 16.
We intend to engage experienced adult facilitators to offer specifically themed programs over the five weeks of Sorrento Summer Programming. These themes might include hiking, theatre, games, videography, music, photography, arts and crafts, movie reviews, water activities, social justice, climate change, magic, cooking etc. Our expectation is that self-reflection, nourishment, and spiritual growth will be woven into whatever theme is presented to create a rich and meaningful experience.

Sorrento Centre's Adult Programming for 2024 offers diverse opportunities to connect with the heart, mind, and spirit this summer, not to mention connecting with other participants.
For example, Week 1 (July 7-13) features The Very Rev. Michael Battle, Ph.D., Director of the Desmond Tutu Peace Institute. Join him for a timely retreat on "Ubuntu" which is the African Proverb, "I am because we are; and because we are, I am." This program invites us to better practice compassion for the sake of being interrelated and human.

The culinary offerings of our Food Services Department are being revised as we explore farm-to-table possibilities both with our own organic farm and other local farmers in the area. We have introduced the new Continental Breakfast, now included in registration, and it has been well received. The kitchen and dining hall have been made over with a glorious new paint job by our very own multi-talented Food Services Team, Jesse and Kelly, and some additional equipment has been added to serve you better including a juice bar!
Plans are in the works for renovations to the picnic shelter and a picnic table restoration. Our little library is off and running and Farmer Angelo has already begun work on starting seedlings in the improved greenhouse and is exploring ways to grow our own mushrooms!
As you can see, Sorrento Conference and Retreat Centre is a busy place.
Plans are made and ideas explored all with the goal of enhancing our guests' experience.
