Haunted Art Walk Thursday, October 10
Spend the evening strolling and exploring West Seattle while enjoying art, music, food, and wine during Art Walk.

Look for the zombie footprints to light the pathway into participating businesses!

The Art Walk includes many of the West Seattle restaurants! Enjoy EXTENDED HAPPY HOURS, specials on food and beverages, plus all the local art you would expect. Just mention Art Walk for the special.
D1 Candidate Forum Saturday October 19
The D1 candidate forum hosted by the West Seattle Junction, moderated by the West Seattle Blog.

The forum will be held upstairs in the Senior Center - Saturday, October 19th 11 AM to 12 Noon. Doors open at 10:30 AM.  

Moderated by Tracy Record, editor of the West Seattle Blog, the forum will be a way to listen to questions gathered from an open call via the WSB. Watch for the post on the WSB asking for questions.

Take part in your community around the upcoming election! 

The forum will cover a broad range of issues.
 • Candidates will have equal time to present their views.
 • The candidates are asked about issues, with time to give the moderator an opportunity to ask in-depth questions. 

The moderator and the Junction stay neutral do not imply approval or disapproval of any candidate.
Harvest Fest Sunday, October 27

Quickly becoming a West Seattle beloved fall event, Harvest Fest will once again bring out the costumed (kids, adults and pets!), the daring (chili cook-off) and musical (parade) and the thirsty (hot cocoa and cider garden) as the West Seattle Junction closes down California Ave for a fantastic fall festival.

ArtsWest Sunset Baby
ArtsWest is kicking off their new season tonight with the opening of SUNSET BABY by Dominique Morisseau (SKELETON CREW), directed by Valerie Curtis-Newton, prominent director and the current Head of Directing at the University of Washington School of Drama and the Founding Artistic Director for The Hansberry Project, a professional African American theatre lab.

Walk Thru and Mural Update
You may have noticed the walk-thru next to Northwest Art & Frame is closed as renovations continue. The area is being transformed into the NEW Mural Alley SW where five new murals will be hung. Join the excitement at the unveiling on October 10.
FUNdraising in the Junction
You may have seen the super-cool retro parking boxes in the merchant-supported 'free' parking lots briefly this year.

Good news is they will be returning!

Look for the boxes at five Junction businesses soon. You can donate to the parking lots that help your merchants offset expenses to pay for the lots. That way we can bring you more of all you see in this newsletter!

Night Market Dec 7th
Save the date for the West Seattle Night Market and Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 7th 3 PM to 7 PM. Shop under the twinkling lights, make an ornament for the tree, sip some cocoa, enjoy 2 full hours of entertainment.

We light the tree at 6 PM in Junction Plaza Park.
