Teen Hunger Awareness Packing Event

We had a wonderful turnout at our Teen Hunger Awareness Packing Event in October! Thank you to all the adult leaders who brought their teens to serve, learn, and make a difference for food-insecure children in our community. And an extra-special thank you to the teens themselves, who worked with incredible energy to pack 30,000 meals in under two hours.

HCA Healthcare Foundation Grant

HCA Healthcare Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to Feed the Need of Putnam County through its Community Catalyst Grant Program!

The funding comes from the Foundation’s Healthier Tomorrow Fund, which supports programs that make a real difference in the health and well-being of our communities.

We’re also so grateful that members of HCA Florida Putnam Hospital took time out of their day to tour our new Feed the Need warehouse and learn more about the work we’re doing to help children and families in Putnam County.

Rotary Club of Crescent City Grant for Pallet Racking

We would like to thank the Rotary Club of Crescent City for granting Feed the Need of Putnam County the funds to purchase pallet racking and a front door for our new warehouse!

Your generosity has made such a difference—providing us with high-quality shelving and a secure entrance for our growing operations.

Interlachen Culinary Arts Partnership

The Interlachen Jr.-Sr. High School Culinary Arts program, led by Chef Aaron Walker, assisted by Kathy Hoyt, recently received special recognition from Feed the Need of Putnam County for their commitment to community service and sustainability.

Feed the Need representative, Renee Hough, PCSD's Career and Technical Education Director, presented Chef Walker with a certificate of appreciation, and Feed the Need treated the Culinary Arts students to a well-deserved pizza party.

Kudos to Chef Walker, Kathy Hoyt and his Culinary Arts students for illustrating how education and community service can work hand-in-hand to make a positive and productive difference.
