New to the Library of Things: Portable Wi-Fi Hotspots
Cheboygan Area Public Library now has four portable Wi-Fi hotspot devices!

Portable Wi-Fi hotspots allow you to remotely connect to the internet with various devices including your computer, smartphone, or tablet! This means that if you need to get online, you can connect to the internet using a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

The device has unlimited data, and the service is paid for by the Cheboygan Area Public Library so patrons can utilize the device and service for no charge.

The Wi-Fi hotspot devices can be checked out for three weeks. Sorry, there are no renewals. And only one device can be checked out by a household at one time because each device can support multiple users at once. We want to make sure any patron who wants to use the Wi-Fi hotspots has a chance to check one out.

Directions on how to use the device are included and are easy to follow!
Please note that, unfortunately, the device will not work in a location that does not already have cellular service. In other words, if you cannot get any bars on your cell phone, the Wi-Fi hotspot device will not be able to connect either.

Also, if the device is not returned by its due date, the service will turn off and the device will not be able to connect to the internet.
