We’ve entered the next phase of our debris removal response!
We’re finishing opening all roads and transitioning to removing smaller debris. At least one lane of travel is open in all reported debris sites, and work is completed at more than 70% of reported locations.
Once all lanes are open in a location, we will return to clear any large debris left in the roadway. We will also clear fallen trees from sidewalks. Contractors are still assisting with large and complex debris. We expect to complete our tree and debris removal effort in the coming weeks.
Learn about our debris removal work and what property owners are responsible for. There is no roadside disposal service for loose storm debris. See Washington County Solid Waste and Recycling Yard and Storm Debris Solutions.
Sweeping up sand
During the winter weather, we applied sand on our ice control and snow plow priority routes to improve traction. We used more sand that usual to help our utility partners restore service.
Street sweeping should be complete in the next month. Street sweeping information:
- Rural unincorporated Washington County – Washington County; all our sweepers are out.
- Cities – Each city is responsible for sweeping roads within their boundaries.
- Urban unincorporated Washington County – Clean Water Services sweeps these streets. Use the Street Sweeping Zone Map Tool to see a schedule.
