THIS WEEK'S TALK BY

REV. ROSEMARY CATHCART

"Here's How It Works"

Understanding our innate power to project energy and to be a creative force for good leads to our continued growth. The ability to harness that power, direct it properly and hold in consciousness only the highest and the best, leads to wonderfully productive coincidences and many happy surprises! - Rev. Rosemary Cathcart

She served on the Board of RSN when the Charlotte Pike building was purchased. She enjoys a diverse private practice including Astrology and healing protocols such as hypnosis, Reiki Healing, EFT, and Stress Management. As the President of and Minister Director with the Universal Brotherhood Movement, she has Ordained a number of our own CSLN members as fully licensed Ministers.

Rosemary is a prolific writer and has authored a number of articles and booklets about the daily miracles of life. She is currently working on the final edits of her newest book, "Looking For My Good Face: A Journey of Discovery". She is deeply honored to be a part of the speaker team at CSLN.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Community Hike At Radnor Lake has been RESCHEDULED!

New Date: Saturday Oct 26 at Noon

Let's get out in some nature and enjoy connection together! Come join our community during our beautiful fall weather! We might see Turkeys, Ducks, Deer and Squirrels, Herons, Owls, and Turtles!

The hike will be accommodating to the group in a slower pace as we walk and talk around the lake. Just over about 2 miles of easy trail terrain. We will meet at Unity Campus and Carpool over to the nearby West Lot, Welcome Center. Parking is limited on most Saturdays.

Bring some water. Rain or Shine! Please contact Mark Edwards at edwards.mark@protonmail.com to let him know you're coming.

Town Hall Meeting: Release the Past - Views for the Future

There will be a Town Hall Meeting November 17 in the Fellowship Hall after the Sunday service to discuss certain requests made by a group of CSL members. Join us as we share with each other so together we can move into our new story, the next iteration of what is possible for our center.

The rest can go.

This is an in-person meeting. All members are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided. Please email admin@cslnashville.org so that we will know how many lunches to order.

Joint Service with Unity and Potluck to Celebrate Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 24

It is CSLN's tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving with a potluck following our service on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This year, we will have a joint Sunday service with Unity on November 24 at 11am followed by a potluck for both Centers! Rev. Denise and Gregory Fisher will be the speakers. Turkey and dressing will be provided with the rest of the fixings as a potluck. If you have dietary restrictions, please bring something to share that meets that need and be sure to label it as gluten-free, sugar-free, vegetarian or vegan.

Welcome Back Caring Hearts! Volunteers Needed!

Being in community means that we are there for each other during times of challenge and times of celebration. The Caring Hearts Team reaches out to help when members of our community have a health challenge, surgery or hospitalization or when they are celebrating something wonderful. Thank you to Erica Leeds for volunteering to lead the Caring Hearts Team! Please contact Erica at ericalleeds@gmail.com to volunteer to help with this wonderful outreach.

Reaching Out to CSL Centers Affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton

We have reached out to CSL Sarasota and CSL Asheville to fine out if they need assistance from the hurricanes. Last Sunday, we had a second collection for CSL Sarasota to help them. We were planning a collection to help CSL Asheville as well, but we learned that they are doing great! No damage to their building and very minor things that have been or are being addressed. They are immensely grateful. They were very appreciative of our call but said they did not need anything at this time. There are some other centers in Florida that were affected who are gathering at CSL Sarasota and they are receiving donations to help. For those who wanted to give to CSL Sarasota last week but didn't have their checkbook or extra cash with them, we will have a basket in the lobby to accept any donations and add to the $717 collected last week. We will send the total to them next week. Thank you for your gifts to help another CSL Center when they needed it!

The Drive is On!

A couple of weeks ago, we asked for volunteers to help organize a giving drive to help Aristevi, an organization that helps women who are survivors of human trafficking. The organization, which is affiliated with St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, the church that bought CSLN’s property, helps to educate, clothe and house the women as they begin their new lives.

We are starting our drive by collecting women’s lightly used clothes from casual to job interview attire, jewelry, shoes, bras (no used underwear). They have a large warehouse and the woman can "shop in their store ".

Our drive starts now until the end of October.

We ask you to bring the clothes ON SUNDAY before or after our service, in a box if possible, so we can SEE what is donated. Unity Church graciously provided a room to store the clothes. No need to bring hangers. When you walk into church go to the left hallway. Questions? Call Becky Meagher 615-975-7000

Hiring a Bookkeeper

We are accepting applications for the bookkeeper position. The position is part-time and is approximately 25 hours per month at $20 per hour. Interested applicants require bookkeeping experience, including working with Quickbooks, and the willingness to learn ADP and other financial applications. Attendance at the Center, before and after the Sunday service, is required. Additional work can be done remotely. Please submit your resume to admin@cslnashville.org.

Hospitality Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to help with hospitality on the 4th Sunday of every month. We are also looking for a hospitality coordinator. Please contact Marylla Rosebaugh if you are interested.

Online Service Chat Box Volunteers Needed

CSLN is looking for a few volunteers from our online community to moderate the YouTube chat box on Sunday mornings. This is a great opportunity for our members who prefer watching our service online to get involved and help our online viewers connect. You'll be provided some tools to get you started and can volunteer for as many Sundays per month as you like. Contact Rekell at admin@cslnashville.org if you are interested.

Participate in Spirituality and Technology Research

One of our members and Practitioners, Tonya Miller-Hire, is working on her PhD and the topic of her thesis is how technology is influencing spirituality. We can all help Tonya with her research by participating in an online survey. This will take approximately 35 minutes, can be stopped at anytime and can be anonymous. If you are interested in taking the survey, the link is below:

Creating our Beloved Community!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

 David Arnholter, RScP

I know that there is only One Joy, One Spirit, One Love. I am one with Joy. I am one with Spirit. I am one with Love. I know this fully and completely!

A healing Power is flowing in and through me now. Every organ of my body, every thought in my mind, every function of my body is healed by this Power completely.  There is no fear, no doubt and no uncertainty in my mind. The love of Spirit expressing in and through me, directs me, protects me and guides me every step of my life.

And I know this same healing Power is flowing through our beloved Center healing everything which needs to be healed to keep it growing and thriving.

I give thanks for Love expressing in my Life. I give thanks for the Science of Mind teaching. I give thanks for everyone who is actively working and supporting our vibrant, loving, abundant Community of CSL Nashville.

Accepting “Love Expressing” as my life experience, I release my word into the Universal Law of Mind, which always says YES! knowing it has already made all of this or something even better, so.

And so it is.
