Celebrating a New Chapter!

What a fabulous day we had celebrating the Grand Opening of our new location at 2895 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell on September 24! The event was filled with community spirit, and heartfelt support as we shared the building with the public.

The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce joined us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking this new milestone in our journey. We were honored to have Michael Sage, LCCC Board President, and Adam Perry, LCCC Executive Director share opening remarks that set the tone for the event.

Adding to the celebration, Jessica Reia-Ashley presented a special proclamation on behalf of Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Representative Ann Bollin, recognizing the importance of this moment for our organization and the community. We were also deeply moved to receive a blessing for our new building from Bishop Earl Boyea. LETS provided transportation from overflow parking and LCCC staff gave tours and answered questions all afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this important step forward. We are excited to be serving the community in our new space.

A perfect September day allowed us to have our ceremony and ribbon cutting oudooors in our parking lot.

Bishop Earl Boyea gratiously prayed with us and then blessed our new buildng.

Bishop Boyea Held the First Mass

On September 5 Bishop Earl Boyea held the first Mass at the St. Mother Teresa Chapel at our new building on the Feast Day of St. Mother Teresa.

OPEN ENROLLMENT for Medicare’s Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D) starts 10/15/2025 – 12/7/2025 with coverage starting 1/1/2026. It is important to re-evaluate your current coverage to make sure that you are still in the appropriate plan for your current situation. This is also a good time to see what changes your current plan may have for 2025 (increased premium, medications not covered or have a higher co-pay, etc.)

Some people may qualify for extra help such as lower or no premiums for their prescription coverage and lower co-pays or no co-pays for their medications. Ask your MMAP counselor to see if you qualify.
