Salute to the Stars is Almost Here!

There will be an open bar cocktail hour, a participatory art experience provided by Anna Oginsky of the Brighton Lighthouse and music provided Keith Ozment. After dinner is served the evening will celebrate the individuals and organizations that bring our mission to life. We will award the Munsell Family Volunteer of the Year, the Mark Robinson Community Impact Award, and the Deacon Jim Kasprzak Partner in Faith Award. Highlights of the night will be hearing from the LCCC mental health counseling program and our keynote speaker, Ellen Salter of Sacred Life Ministry. Ellen's joyful passion for speaking will not only transform the way you suffer but carry you to the heart of Christ for healing.


This is our major event fundraiser to support our professional, critical services and programs that serve the entire county with a focus on our county's most vulnerable men, women and children.

100 Women Care about Catholic Charities

Thank you so much to 100 Women Who Care, Livingston County for choosing Livingston County Catholic Charities Senior Services as your most recent beneficiary. They stopped by our office on April 30 for a tour and in a breif presention gave us the "Big Check." What a wonderful and blessed day! LCCC's Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling provided services to 242 people through substance abuse counseling cases; 543 people (241 adults and 127 children/adolescents, and 175 family members of clients) through mental health counseling last year.

WHEN: Monday, June 22nd, 2026

WHERE: Livingston County Catholic Charities, 2895 W. Grand River Ave, Howell, MI

TIME: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm


FULL SCHEDULE OF THE DAY:

All sessions will be running from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, and individuals are able to rotate to the session that they would prefer to go to every 35 minutes. This includes 20-minute sessions with 10 minutes for questions and 5 minutes gap between sessions to select the next session. There will be time for tours of the space after the 1st two sessions.

 

The sessions that will be available are:

1. Advanced Directives

2. Scams

3. Planned Giving

4. Community Resources to Age in Place

 

Refreshments will be provided. There is no cost for this activity; however, a goodwill donation will be accepted. Please carpool, if possible, due to limited parking at the building.

Volunteering with a Purpose

Volunteer Appreciation Month is over, but the Volunteer Caregiver Program is still looking for some more caring volunteers. This program is a coalition of local volunteers designed to assist seniors 60+ years of age by providing vetted volunteers as Friendly Visitors or to assist with transportation for medical appointments and more. If you would like to join our dynamic team of volunteers, please contact LeAnn Billau at 517-545-5944 or leann@livingstoncc.org.

Open Positions at LCCC

Senior Service Home Technican

Individual that understands of the needs of those local seniors, provide general home maintenance and repairs to increase the safety of seniors living in their own homes in Livingston County. Emphasis is placed upon serving those people that are socially or geographically isolated, economically disadvantaged and/or have medical needs. Services include, but are not limited to, installing safety equipment (grab bars, handrails), and household maintenance tasks (weather stripping, caulking, door/lock repairs). This position will also work closely with a contracted entity to ensure task completion. Reliable transportation and current/valid driver's license required. Minimum of one-year experience, professional or volunteer, in a human service setting. 24 hours weekly. Apply today!


ROSC – Peer Support ADVOCATE

Some college preferred, high school diploma required. 10+ hours/week. Minimum 3 years experience with recovery, active knowledge of 12 step/recovery meetings (especially within/near Livingston County), ability to work with persons at various points in their recovery journey, reliable and insured vehicle and willingness to provide transportation/drive as needed. Work directly with ROSC case manager and other professionals to provide outreach and coordination to recovering persons in the community. Apply today!

LCCC's FIRST Elder Abuse Awareness 5K

Livingston County Catholic Chariities is excited to announce the inaugural Stomping out Elder Abuse One Step at a Time 5k run/walk. The race will take place on Sunday, June 14th at 8:30 am at Manly Bennet Park in Whitmore Lake. This 5K is dedicated to dignity, safety, and respect..


Pricing: Early Registration $30 until May 31, $35 from June 1st to June 13th. $40 on Race day.


Race Swag: Participants will receive a t-shirt and finishers medal. Shirts are guaranteed with registration through May 31st, and available as supplies last after that date.


Packet pickup will take place race day morning starting at 7:00 am.


Proceeds and donations from the event will support Elder Abuse Prevention programs through Livingston County Catholic Charities.


The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

Book a Tour of Our New Building



We would like to invite you to our new location at 2895 W. Grand River Ave. Howell, MI 48843. The tour will include a brief overview of our programs, a guided walkthrough, and time to ask any questions or learn how you can get more involved.

 

We have open times twice a month for tour or by appointment.The two regular times are:

1st Thursday of every month at 8am

2nd Saturday of every month at 10am
