Angel stepped into his second-grade classroom the same day Cy-Hope opened the Trails of Windfern Hope Center ten years ago. Like many his age, Angel struggled to keep up with his schoolwork. Soon he began attending the Hope Center and his horizon changed. Here he received help with schoolwork, learned valuable life skills, played sports, and felt the joy of being a kid. Although he continued to struggle with school, the consistent mentorship Cy-Hope provided inspired him to make better choices. At 16, he applied to become a Cy-Hope intern and give back to those younger than him. He got the job!
Fast forward to May of 2021. Angel is planning the celebration of a high-school graduation he once thought impossible. In a text invite to our Hope Center Director, Angel expresses gratitude for all the encouragement and help Cy-Hope provided. “…I wouldn't have accomplished this…without y'all,…and thanks to y'all, I'll soon have my diploma." Angel has hope for a new horizon because of generous donors like you who make a difference in the lives of students like Angel and thousands of others.
