New! Fund for Public Health is Hiring 1,000 Contact Tracers

FPHNYC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. NYC is ramping up testing and building out a HUGE contact tracing effort to control the spread of COVID19 and is looking to hire hundreds of folks to help with tracing. New! Legal Administrative Specialist (Benefit Authorizer) | Social Security Administration | 58 Vacancies in Queens, NY | Open & Closing dates 4/27/20 - 5/10/20

Once selected for the Benefit Authorizer position in SSA, you will make final determinations on benefit entitlement decisions. This includes having direct telephone contact with the public to resolve issues or discrepancies and provide them with their rights under Social Security laws. You will be responsible for adjusting established benefits and effectuating payments and using state-of-the-art computer technology to access and update information about claims.
