We are back from our annual buying extravaganza at the Tucson International Gem, Mineral and Fossil shows and are now vigorously working to process all the new inventory before our 14th Annual Tucson Trunk Show that starts March 14th. While meeting with many of the miners, we learned about more mines closing and more government involvement, which is great for environmental and humanity concerns, but also means some minerals and crystals are becoming more expensive to obtain. Moldavite, for example, has jumped in price almost 25% just in the month we were gone due to mines being closed and mining of the material highly regulated.

We will be sending out our pre-show flyer next week highlighting some of the goodies we brought home so be sure to look for that in your emails. A few special items and deals to look for that I think are extra special include various sizes of black tourmaline logs, the cutest little natural Smokey Quartz clusters ever, smaller Green Himalayan Quartz clusters that we haven't seen in a while, and an unusual assortment of Bismuth in new shapes and sizes such as skulls, pyramids and hearts. We were able to find smaller, more affordable Blue Aragonite clusters plus a few larger, one of a kind mineral display pieces for your home and office. There's an eye popping Bumblebee Jasper piece, two polished Pink Amethyst slices - on on a rotating stand, a Smokey Quartz Elestial Bench and a gorgeous polished piece of Tiger Iron. Be sure to check out the few rare Magnesium Ore wave shaped clusters we found. What a conversation piece?! You can get lost just looking at them.

Especially for our metaphysical family, we went back and bought more of those beautiful Labradorite Buddha and Ganesh carvings with the great color flash and some new crystal charging platforms. Some of you may remember years ago we had a special vendor who made leather wrapped wands with crystals, minerals and feathers for energy and accents. Unfortunately, for health reasons, they had to discontinue making the wands. The family has just recently started remaking them and we were able to reconnect, so now we have a great selection for you to choose from. I am very happy to see this product available again.

A big shout-out and thanks to all of you who attended our Bi-annual Jewelry Bazaar last month and our celebration of the Chinese New Year with our Lion Dance performance. At last year's company meeting we set a goal to have more community events highlighting cultural and local talents. Your tremendous response to these events help to guide us in future avenues for us to explore.
This month we are heading back to the Corpus area where again, we will be a vendor at the Gulf Coast Gem & Mineral Show at the RMB Fairgrounds in Robstown, Texas on March 7&8. If you're in the area, come by and visit with us. On March 28 & 29th we will have our special selection of crystals, minerals and assorted goodies available at the Metaphysical and Spiritual Life Expo in their new relocation at the Norris Conference Center. Sadly, while in Tucson, I learned that Melody, the author of "Love Is In The Earth", and a great source of stone energy knowledge and teachings passed away while on vacation over seas and now joins other loved ones in guiding and watching over us. I had the pleasure of having some great talks and good times with her and felt honored that she selected Nature's Treasures to own her collection of minerals pictured in her book. I know wherever she is now they are having a good time. Your energy and continual work will be greatly missed Melody.

was born in Kerrville, TX and grew up in Georgetown, TX where she studied Business Management at Southwestern University before completing her degree at Texas State to be a little closer to family. Juyna was a frequent customer for a number of years before joining the NT family as a front counter employee in 2015. She is now the Inventory Department's Assistant Manager and loves being a part of processing all the new treasures after the buying trips. When Juyna isn't behind the scenes at NT, she loves being with her nephews (who are growing way too fast), exploring natural wellness & healing remedies, and diving deeply into the spiritual realm.
