"I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart;

I will tell of all your wonderful deeds."

—Psalm 9:1

Dear alumni,

Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away. Our hope and prayer is that you take time to remember all the blessings you have to be thankful for in your life and spend some time with family and friends. Too often we focus on the material things and what is happening in our community and world. We are thankful for you, our alumni, and all of the faculty, staff and students.

You can slow down and enjoy the season by attending some of the fine arts programs we have on campus; or plan to attend one of the other upcoming campus or athletic events. Please review the information below and see how you can be involved.

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving.

Living Grace women's luncheon focuses on Lutheran education

The recent Living Grace women's luncheon focused on Lutheran education and how CUW is meeting its needs. Our own Dr. Nicole Muth (Elementary Ed Department Chair) and Dr. Jenna Roeske (two-time alum and Lutheran grade school principal) served as keynote speakers. In addition, we honored the founder of Living Grace--the late Dr. Lyla Buuck, wife of retired CUW President Rev. Dr. R. John Buuck. Click here to see more photos from the event.

Concordia education gave alumnus a step up

Marvin “Tony” Boxdorfer, a 1971 graduate of Concordia High School (pictured with Linda, his wife of 52 years), has built many of his life goals on what he learned through his Lutheran education. “Concordia is a place where you want to send your children and grandchildren because it’s going to prepare them for their future," he said. Concordians "are the people that the world needs.” Read more here.

Reformation hymnals 500 years later

Luther knew the power of music to convey the Gospel message! Take a look at this reflection by our VP for Mission and Church Relations, Rev. Dr. Aaron Moldenhauer.

He offers a historical look at Luther's efforts to prioritize song as an instrument to implant God's Word in our hearts and minds.

Runner is on the move in the community

Runner, one of our comfort dogs, recently visited the first grade class at Addison Elementary in Slinger, Wis., with one of his handlers. Our comfort dogs provide service to our students, faculty and staff, and also visit different places in the community. To see more photos from the visit to Addison, click here.

Join us! We'd love to have you!

Come and work at your alma mater. The Concordia Office of Advancement is hiring a director of Alumni and Parent Relations.
