"Sweat saves blood, blood saves lives, and brains save both"
.
-Erwin Rommel

We are all sweating these days. We have no choice, it's HOT! So chances are, if you've walked outside your house in the last week, you've sweat. And just like everything else in life, we're all different. Light sweaters, heavy sweaters, and everything in between.
(Cool. We're talking body functions)
But there's a different kind of sweat happening too. There's the kind of sweat that comes with hard work and perseverance. As individuals and as a collective we are all working towards balance and waiting to see what comes next. And while we wait, we
sweat
. We work hard each day to get our jobs done, to go the extra mile, to encourage those around us and embrace what brings us joy. We are working to maintain protocols and uphold regulations that we believe create safer work and home environments. We are working to be better for the person standing next to us. We are working to be better for the generation yet to come. And while we work, we sweat.
While I believe that Erwin Rommel's quote pertained more to a military mindset, I think it is relevant. Our sweat today will create preservation. The work we do now will make a difference. And the more efficient we work, the more effective we will be.
The temperatures are rising outside and we are prone to sweat. When it's hot outside we find creative ways to stay cool. We run through sprinklers, sit in kiddie sized pools, carry squirt bottles, call a friend with a boat, the list goes on. Let's be creative with how we "stay cool" while we work each day.
This is not a get-out-of-jail-free card so you can terrorize your annoying co-worker with squirt guns and water balloons
, but an opportunity to seek out new incentives and motivators for you and your teams. Get creative and stay cool while we work for a better today and a better tomorrow.
