We extend a warm invitation to all south east communities to join us virtually to celebrate the past year’s activities. We are facilitating a virtual annual meeting May 28, 2020 at 6:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m., in response to restrictions on gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bonnie and Patty will each be receiving summer programming kits for their community groups, the Vibank Rec Board and Kenosee Lake Bible Camp!
NEW: Community Recreation Plan (CRP) Grant!
Planning is not just for big cities! Towns and Villages can plan too! A community recreation plan identifies how to allocate resources for recreation services, programs and infrastructure. A community recreation plan answers three questions: 1. Where are we now? 2. Where would we like to be? 3. How are we going to get there? Apply for our Community Recreation Plan Grant now!

Mental Health Week - May 4-10, 2020
The Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) annual Mental Health Week is May 4-10, 2020.

The theme of this year’s Mental Health Week is social connection. Connecting with other people and our communities doesn’t just feel good. It’s good for our mental health.
Spotlight Story: Southeast Regional Libraries Find Creative Ways To Stay In Touch!
Video-based programming and online learning is gaining momentum. With participants being unable to attend events in person, there is a significant demand for video-based learning! Libraries across the south east are taking advantage of this to stay in touch with their audience.

Important Update on the 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games
The Saskatchewan Games Council, the City of Lloydminster, and the Lloydminster 2020 Host Society have jointly announced the postponement of the 2020 Saskatchewan Summer Games until July 2021 due to health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19. The Games were originally scheduled to be held from July 26 – August 1 in Lloydminster, Sask.

The Games are now tentatively scheduled to run from July 18–24, 2021, and will feature competition
from young athletes in 15 summer sports. All sports that were originally included on the sport calendar
in 2020 are committed to participate in 2021.

All of our sessions are tailored to small, rural community boards, with a sport, culture and recreation focus. KidSport Impact Report
In 2019, KidSport Saskatchewan was successful in creating opportunities So ALL Kids Can Play.
With assistance from its sponsors, partners, donors and volunteers, KidSport Saskatchewan granted $1.61 million in funding to help 13,858 children and youth in the province participate in over 50 sports.
