And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death
(Revelation 2:8-11 KJV).
Father,
Thank You for the assurance that You know us firsthand. You know the works and the tribulations of FOCUSED Ministries. You don’t just know about us, but You walk among us and You are intimately familiar with us. You know when, where, why, and how the enemy is testing us, trying to find weaknesses to see if we will break. But there is nothing to fear, because You are much greater and You have made us overcomers through the glorious work of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
My prayer is for the light of God and the power of the Holy Spirit in the people of FOCUSED Ministries to explode! Clear the way and stir us up to rise to new heights of fruitfulness for the Kingdom of God, for the glory of God, and for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name we humbly pray, amen.

Prayer from the heart of our youth
Loving Father, I thank You for waking us up, for putting food in our stomachs, and for always sheltering us in Your loving embrace. I pray for safe travels and to wrap Your angels around everyone who are going out. I pray for everyone’s physical and mental health. Please give us strength when we are weak, love when we feel forsaken, courage when we are afraid, wisdom when we feel foolish, comfort when we are alone, hope when we feel rejected, and peace when we are in trouble, in Jesus’s name, amen

What Does the Bible Say About it?
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Phil. 3:13-14 KJV).
We are always looking forward to "the next". The Lord has marked FOCUSED Ministries with the task of reaching youth and families, first with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This certainly is a high calling as we are in challenging times when people are looking for answers to all of the why questions that come with the challenges we face...but...we believe God. We look forward to this next season of outreach to our youth and families. We are planning and preparing to engage in solid discussions in our GirlsFOCUSED and BoysFOCUSED groups on the topics of the day and ready to apply biblical principles to them. Our mission is to empower young girls and boys through The Word of God to live out their God-given purpose in the earth. Our vision is to see young girls and boys influence their communities as they live out their God-given purpose in the earth.
