Our beloved Father,

I. EXCITED

I am excited for this opportunity to pray today. We know that one of Your greatest desires is to be in relationship with us through prayer. Our prayers are our gifts to You and Your answers are Your gift to us and we thank You with the heart that You constructed for each of us.

II. VISION

Father, thank You for FOCUSED Ministries and the incredibly important work that You have set before them. Thank You for the vision and the mission You gave this ministry, “To empower young girls and boys through Your word to live out their God given purpose on this earth”.

III. HOPE

Now Father, we pray for this ministry and these precious young souls that You created. We pray that You fill them with unending hope, unwavering faith, strength for life’s journey and, as Jeremiah 29:12 says, “…plans to prosper them and not to harm, plans to give them a hope and a future”. Help them remember this scripture and hide it in their hearts for the days that are hard so they can stand on Your word and Your promises with the knowledge that You keep Your promises. You cannot deceive them and You will NEVER change Your mind about them.

IV. GIFTS

Lord, You have shown us light and life. You are stronger than any natural power. Your gifts, love, and grace never expire. Nudge us to use the gifts You have so extravagantly given to all of us for we lose them each day they go unclaimed. Plant that in our hearts today so that we can focus on using those gifts with Your guidance.

V. FOCUS

Whatever is weighing us down - our minds, our circumstances, our health, our hindrances - hit that delete key, dear Lord, and help us to focus on YOU. So many distractions in our world today so we petition You to remove those distractions so we can focus on You. So we can do the tasks You have assigned to each of us. Set us in a spacious place and go through our minds and bodies with Your critical eyes and fix whatever You see fit. Help us all to endure this world and its trappings. Renew our hearts, Lord, we are listening, Speak Lord, we are willing to follow. Guide. Please fill each and every heart with Your Holy Spirit. We pray all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus. And all the Lord's children said, amen.

How does one explain the meaning of love? This word - love - contains four simple letters yet holds a whole lotta power! A whole lotta meaning! And a whole lotta weight. The clearest explanation of the meaning of love is one giving oneself as a sacrifice for someone who is deeply cared for. Jesus's love for us made the way for us to draw near to the Father. Like the song said, you can't get over, you can't go under, and you can't go around. Bottom line? You must come in at the door and Jesus is the door.

This is not about religion but relationship.

Dr. Baker, the founder & president/CEO of FOCUSED Ministries, Inc., an educator and author. She believes that through the Word of God, hearts can be healed and lives transformed. She believes that her God-given purpose is to help people, especially young people, experience the saving power of Jesus Christ. Her desire is for people to know that no matter what they have encountered in this life, they are here for God’s purpose and by His design.

With the debt for sin having been paid by Jesus Christ on the Cross, we now have the opportunity to life eternal. Jesus said, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14 KJV). Romans 10:9 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God had raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (KJV).
