That view is just one reason why I’m incredibly lucky. Music Hall and Washington Park comprise the beautiful backdrops I see every time I walk into and out of the office. And although this is only the 17th day I’ve been able to call it “my office,” I'm sure the view won't get old anytime soon. But let's back up for a second, because most of you don’t know who I am.
Hi there! My name is Leah, and I’m the new Executive Director at Cincinnati Squash Academy. Prior to joining CSA, I was the founder & managing editor at
Cincinnati Refined
, a digital lifestyle website that I sold to Local 12’s parent company, Sinclair Broadcast Group.
4 Things To Know About Me
1. I’m a Cincy native. I grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Sycamore High School. Now I call East Walnut Hills home.
2. I love working with kids. Back in college, the two summers I spent as a tennis instructor and counselor at a sleep away camp in the Adirondacks were some of the best of my life.
3. I was co-captain of the varsity tennis team at Colorado College. These days, however, I prefer to play golf, ultimate frisbee, and (of course) squash!
4. I feel incredibly lucky and honored to be CSA’s Executive Director.
Continuing on that last point... I’m new to the non-profit world (and to the squash world). So yes, I have a lot to learn. But I’m confident my years spent running a media company will translate well in this arena.
CSA has such a positive reputation in the community and wouldn't be where it is today without your support. That's why I'm thrilled to join such an all-star team and know that together we can realize our mission of transforming lives for Cincinnati’s highly-motivated inner-city kids.
I look forward to meeting all of you in the coming weeks and months.
Best,
Leah
