GTTAGSC (Getting Together To Avoid Going Stir Crazy) Socials
Time to join together in person!!
ISD is looking to revamp our after-church hospitality social hour. We are looking for people to host small afternoon or evening (candlelight) potluck socials.
Potlucks are fantastic ways to connect or reconnect with others, share a meal the food preparation, showcase a favorite dish or try out a new dish, and share our latest updates with each other.
If you are interested in volunteering as a host, email me at the email address below. Let me know how many guests and your preference for an afternoon or evening meal.

ASTROLOGY FORCAST (Oct 27 - Nov 3)
This week the Sun will be joined in Scorpio by Mars. These two planets together in one sign encourage action and strength. The influence of Scorpio on this combination creates a powerful intensity to our days. It will be well to remember our better angels and our manners with this combination shining down upon us. Be sure to do your best to live your highest light. Scorpio is a very strong sign, with the ability to go to extremes.
Scorpio is the 8th sign in the Zodiac. In Numerology 8 is associated with strength, decisiveness and particularly emphasizes the proper use of power. Eight is the upright infinity sign. Balanced achievement is very possible with this numerical energy.
Combined together the Sun, Mars, Scorpio, and the energy of the numbers 8 (Zodiac sign), and 11 (month number) create a potent opportunity to move your life and soul in very significant ways. Choose from your heart and choose well. Emphasis on the heart is important since power wielded only with cold reasoning will no longer work. The same energy generated through the heart center will create with ever increasing beauty and grace.
Another factor worth our notice at this time is the visible night sky. Shortly after dark you can still step outside and see Venus shining ever so brightly in the low western sky. Saturn and Jupiter are right behind her in the southwestern sky. All of them are following a similar path. All are easily seen with the naked eye. Drink in the inspiration and wonder of their path across our night sky.
There is another way to find kinship and support from our celestial "family." The stars appear to twinkle at us, changing color and jumping position slightly. The beams of light reaching our eyes have to come through multiple layers of our atmosphere. They fluctuate and waver, appearing to shine brighter at some moments more than others. Is that not a perfect description of our lives? We are not steady, unchanging beams of light. We also must make our way through layers of challenge and seeming missteps. Keep in mind that light is a Sine wave with natural peaks and valleys. So too are we! We seem to blink on and off, just as the stars do.
I ask you this; Do the stars seem any less brilliant and magical because their light seems to waver momentarily? Or are they seeming to communicate in some wonderful way - because they twinkle! Try this. Communicate back. Allow your eye to drift to your favorite place in the sky and allow yourself to receive. Those stars that you love, love you back! Bask in the glory of it. Receive messages. Allow this part of the natural world to be part of your support system.

Just a reminder that we are continuing our Prayer Warriors group, every day at 5pm we pause to pray and send our healing energies where they are most needed right now
Each day at 5 PM EST, we will pause for about 10 minutes and meditate and pray with the intention of sending healing energy to all.
You do not have to be present each day. Requests for healing or suggestions should be submitted to our Healing Program director, Jo Ann Wormuth at the below ISD website link:

What is the Institute for Spiritual Development?
It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 40 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.
We stand for each individual’s right to seek their own personal Truth, as they respect the same right for others. We honor the sacred texts of all traditions of the Light.
The Oneonta NY chapter of ISD was Lovingly created by Rev. Diana Friedell & her sister Rev. Sue Landon. We are now led by a powerful leadership team, and executive board.
ISD is a spiritual community that focuses on healing and intuitive connection, and the joy of finding the spirit connection within rather than being told how it should or could be experienced.
We welcome those who want to belong to a spiritual group of like-minded people, in which you can explore and find your own path in a community of love and support.
There are classes, services, events, and a sense of community and fellowship. Energy healing and intuitive messages are delivered as a regular part of the worship service. Classes offer many tools which will help you on your life path, and the community we are creating together is one of openness and acceptance, and the ability to adapt with change and growth.
