College Expo19: Session and Skills Demonstration Proposals - Deadline Extended
Deadline Friday 1 February
We are delighted to announce that the submission date for College Expo has been extended to Friday 1 February . The overarching theme will be ‘Success in a Changing World’ and we are keen to hear from anyone with an idea for a session.
New for 2019 - Student Skills Demonstration Area! If your students have an amazing demonstration of their talent and skills, please let us know – we have a large area which can accommodate your demonstration requirements.
Delivering the Curriculum through VC (Video Conference)

We are excited to team up with Ajenta, the team behind Vscene, to offer this dedicated workshop which focuses on making the most of VC interactions. The face-to-face workshop will guide you through the steps of designing and delivering online sessions via VC.
VP Forum: Developing Entrepreneurship Workshop

The CDN VP Forum provides a platform for Vice Principals to network, collaborate and collectively lead on key development areas for the sector. This first Forum workshop will focus on the opportunities for colleges in developing entrepreneurship.
Management and Leadership Courses 2019
Starting February at
CDN, Stirling
CDN is offering two courses that provide eligibility for CMI (Chartered Management Institute) membership – Management and Leadership SCQF 8 and Strategic Management and Leadership SCQF 11. Each is a five-day programme with start dates in February. These courses are offered exclusively to staff in colleges across Scotland.
Emergency Planning and Business Continuity (Tales of the Unexpected)

College Cyber Security Conference

Governance and Leadership Summit: Thinking Through Change

The summit will provide a platform for college leadership at a range of levels to debate and discuss some of the key questions facing the college sector as it faces a period of significant change for its communities and learners. This event allows us to stop and think about what we are doing, how we are doing it, and why.
Teaching in Colleges Today – our free credit-rated course
The newly updated Teaching in Colleges Today (TiCT) is available now. This online course provides valuable information and is a great CPD resource for college lecturers, especially for staff who are new in post. It includes information to help lecturers deliver engaging lessons and impactful learning, teaching and assessment. It’s quick, easy and free to register with CDNLearnOnline.
