Mendon, Vermont. I grew up in that blue house by the orchard!

Family:

Wife Lindsey, son Mason, brother Ryan, three sisters - Lauren, Sam, and Amanda, father Dean, mother Terry, and grandfather Joe...Matteri (haha).

Pets:

Wish I could say dog but no, we have a cat named Elliot.

Pet Peeves:

When people drive fast through the pit, and too much unnecessary chatter on the radios.

Favorite Food:

Ramunto's supreme pizza, baby! I like a little bit of everything on my pizza.

Favorite Color:

Red.

Guilty Pleasure:

I like to randomly get up in the middle of the night just to eat.

Hobbies:

Spending time with my family, and hunting, fishing, jeepin', and camping...but didn't get to do that much this year.

Dislikes:

Someone taking my hunting spot.

First Job:

Doing dishes at Mountain Top.

Who do you most look up to?

I look up to my grandfather, he's taught me a lot about everything.

Something everyone should know about you:

I'm actually pretty good at dancing to all sorts of music...just not that weird alternative stuff.

Best advice ever received:

Communication is key, in both work and life.

Best part about your job:

The guys I work with...our relationship from day 1 until now has only gotten better.

While walking through the yard in Mendon, Phil Ketchen noticed the hook on the oil quick coupling for unit #5871 had a broken spring on the safety latch.

Good Catch / Near Miss Program

Situational awareness and an eye for safety are the foundation of employee wellness at Casella Construction. The Good Catch & Near Miss Program recognizes employees who take action to keep us all safe.

A Near Miss is an event that’s been recognized in which no employee is injured, or property damage is sustained, but could have given a slight change in variables.

A Good Catch is the recognition by an employee of a situation or condition that had the potential to become an incident but did not due to corrective action taken and/or prompt intervention.

Every month, a submission is chosen at random and the winner receives a $100 gift card!
